What are SoFi Points?
SoFi points are loyalty reward points earned by eligible SoFi members who complete qualifying account actions.
Points earned can be redeemed for cash, used as statement credit for SoFi credit card, be applied to SoFi loan payments, or used to buy fractional shares with SoFi Invest.
The SoFi Member Rewards Program is available to all active SoFi members.
SoFi Points Value
SoFi Points are worth about $1.00 per 100 points. This makes each SoFi Point worth $0.01.
Below is a better look at how much SoFi reward points are valued in relation to their redemption reward.
- SoFi Checking and Savings (cash reward): $1.00 / 100pts
- Active Investing (fractional shares): $1.00 / 100pts
- Personal Loan (additional payment): $1.00 / 100pts
- Student Loan (additional payment): $1.00 / 100pts
- Credit Card (credit on your statement): $0.50 / 100pts
My best tip if you want to earn more with your SoFi Points, is to redeem them into your SoFi Savings account.
If you’re a SoFi Plus member, you’ll be able to earn 4.5% APY on your savings deposit. That means your money will be making you money with one of the highest bank rates around.
It’s a simple hack that will earn you more money with SoFi!
Why Do Companies Use Loyalty Programs?
Loyalty reward programs are a big business.
They have the ability to increase customer loyalty, drive word of mouth referrals and increase the overall profitability of a company.
That’s one reason Starbucks pushes customers to join their Star Rewards program and how Fetch gets you to earn more Fetch points by spending more.
While it may be gratifying to get free Starbucks drinks, it’s nothing compared to earning real cash rewards with the SoFi Member Rewards program.
What’s in It for You?
Loyalty reward programs are not just great for companies.
When done right, you can leverage them to hack your way to free travel, free gift cards and even free money!
All it takes is being a savvy consumer and understanding how each loyalty program works, so you can benefit the most from it.
Best SoFi Points Hacks
As mentioned earlier, these SoFi reward hacks have helped me earn $226.80 in redeemable cash rewards. As I discover more hacks, I’ll make sure to update this article!
10,000 Points SoFi Credit Card Referral
One of the highest earning SoFi Points hack is the 10,000 bonus points you’ll receive for each successful SoFi Credit Card referral. This is equivalent to $100 in value when redeemed for a cash reward.
Not to mention, each person you refer to a SoFi Credit Card will also earn 5,000 SoFi points when they use your promotional link to apply.
To earn the bonus points, your referral must use your credit card referral link to open a new SoFi Credit Card account within 120 days of receipt.
Additionally, you must be a SoFi credit card holder in good standing to be eligible for the bonus reward. SoFi customer service confirmed this in a recent chat.
You can find your credit card referral link under your account profile in the SoFi app.

The easiest way to earn SoFi reward points is to sign into your SoFi app on a daily basis. Do it for 7 days straight to earn a 10 point bonus.
If you check your SoFi app everyday for a full year, you’re looking at 520 FREE SoFi points. It all adds up, especially when you redeem your points into a high yielding SoFi savings account.
2x Points SoFi Plus Member Rewards
This SoFi Points hack pays out double the reward points, plus it comes with extra SoFi benefits and perks. Needless to say, it pays to become a SoFi Plus Member.
Here are examples of 2x the points you’ll earn as a SoFi Plus Member:
- 20 points for each 7-day log-in streak instead of 10 points
- 200 points to add your debit card to your mobile wallet instead of 100 points
- 200 points to set up bill pay instead of 100 points
- 20 points on credit card autopay instead of 10 points
- 200 points on your first credit card purchase instead of 100 points
- 50 points to link a non-SoFi spend account instead of 25 points
- 20 points each month you set up your monthly spend target instead of 10 points
To become a SoFi Plus Member, you only need to set up and maintain a qualifying monthly direct deposit to SoFi Checking and Savings.
SoFi will notify you by email once you become an eligible SoFi Plus member.
Once that happens, you’ll notice the blue ‘Plus’ badge next to your name and see the increase in SoFi points for qualifying activities.
This premium membership program was rolled out recently after SoFi became a real bank. New membership perks are being added regularly. It’s definitely worth joining for the added benefits.
SwagBucks SoFi Points Hack
Swagbucks is a website that pays you to complete various online activities such as downloading an app, conducting web searches or signing up for an email newsletter.
They also partner with SoFi to offer incentive rewards to new and existing SoFi members. These offers change from time to time, but I’ve noticed more times than not that Swagbucks offers better reward point incentives than SoFi.
For example, one Swagbucks SoFi promotion I recently came across offered new and existing SoFi members bigger SoFi reward points to opt-in to credit monitoring from SoFi Insights.
As a SoFi Plus member, I earn 200 SoFi points when I opt-in to credit score monitoring through the SoFi app.
Although, if I were to link over from the Swagbucks site to SoFi Insights credit monitoring, I would earn $10 worth of SoFi points (about 1,000 points), PLUS a $5 reward bonus redeemable on the Swagbucks site.
It’s a way better deal and a neat SoFi points hack that will earn you bigger rewards!
Again, these offers change often, but if you keep on top of it then you’ll find some sweet SoFi deals on the Swagbucks site.

25% Cashback at SoFi Stadium
This rewards hack is a big one, but it only applies to those visiting SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Members who use their SoFi debit card or SoFi credit card to make purchases of food, beverage and merchandise at SoFi Stadium will receive 25% cash back rewards.
Cash back is earned in the form of reward points.
You should expect to see SoFi Points credited to your account within 7 – 10 business days from the date of the transaction.
However, there is a maximum of 12,500 SoFi points that can be earned from this limited-time offer. The SoFi Stadium Cash Back Program expires on 3/31/2040.
If you live close by or plan to visit SoFi Stadium soon, then this is a SoFi rewards perk worth trying out!
Do SoFi Points Expire?
Yes, SoFi Points will expire within 90 days of earning any points if they are not redeemed into a SoFi product. Furthermore, the SoFi Rewards Terms of Service states that you will forfeit your reward points.
If that’s a concern you have then I would recommend activating the monthly SoFi auto-redemption feature.
This feature will enable you to auto-redeem your entire available SoFi Points balance into your redemption method of choice on the date of your choice.
That way, you won’t run the risk of losing your SoFi reward points, such as this one unfortunate reddit user did.
SoFi Points Hack Conclusion
There are plenty of ways to ethically hack your way to more SoFi Points for bigger reward redemptions. Staying on top of your points will ensure they don’t expire and that you get to enjoy the well deserved points earned as a savvy SoFi Rewards Member!
